    . Matrix Gemini LIMS does not require the use of custom coding or esoteric scripting (such LIMS are GAMP5 category 5)
    . No custom code to develop or maintain (required by GAMP5 for category 5 products)
    . Therefore easier and cheaper to implement, validate, support and maintain

Note
GAMP5 Category 5 is designated as Custom (Bespoke) Software / Custom Applications. Such software is seen by GAMP as inherently high risk. They advise that any LIMS configuration using a vendor supplied language should now be handled as Category 5 – Custom Applications.
